This book has all the info you need to get started and keep going with chickens. Very informative, and easy to read.

Great book for the beginning chicken farmer. Covers everything. More information than I needed, but interesting.

5 Stars Practical and informative without the fluff
Many other chicken books add in lots of fluff about breeds, chickens as pets, etc. This book skips the fluff and takes a practical approach to addressing everything a person would need to know to successfully run a backyard chicken operation, or a small commercial operation. The author carefully distinguishes her opinions from facts, which I much appreciated. No matter how many other chicken books you will buy, you will eventually come back to this one. It’s the bible of chicken raising.
